While CWLF is working to directly prevent child abandonment through national campaigns reaching out to families at risk and providing support to families in need, CWLF has also been a major advocate for a greater protective system for children who are abandoned.

CWLF’s efforts were rewarded when the Abandoned Children Protection Services was commissioned by the local government in 1993. CWLF coordinates a protective network for children who are abandoned, and provides services to abandoned children such as counseling, therapy, referrals and foster care, adoptive or other types of placements.
